Quick Start Guide
Upload your first NDA and get a complete analysis in three simple steps.
Before you begin
- A Google account to sign in (we use Google authentication).
- An NDA document in PDF, DOCX, or Markdown format (max 25 MB).
- Account balance of at least $9.99 (top up via Stripe from your Profile).
Sign in & top up your account
Click "Get Started" on the homepage. You'll be prompted to sign in with your Google account. On your first visit a SimpleNDA profile is automatically created for you.
Navigate to your Profile page (bottom-left of the sidebar).
Click "Top Up Balance" to add credit in $20 increments via Stripe.
Your available balance is shown next to your name in the sidebar.
Upload your NDA
From the dashboard, drag and drop your NDA file onto the upload area — or click "browse files" to select one from your computer. SimpleNDA accepts PDF, DOCX, MD, and TXT files up to 25 MB.
Client-side encryption: Your document is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your device before it ever leaves the browser. Only you hold the key.
Secure storage: The encrypted file is stored in Firebase so you can revisit your analyses later from the sidebar.
Once the file is processed, the "Analyze Document" button activates. Click it to begin the AI analysis.
Review your analysis
SimpleNDA scores your NDA against our NDA-10 Framework™ — the 10 essential components every well-drafted NDA should contain. Your results page includes:
Completeness Score
An objective 1–10 rating showing how many of the standard NDA components are present.
Clause Review
Each clause is assessed individually. Deviations from standard practice are highlighted with explanations.
Reciprocity Analysis
See at a glance which obligations are mutual versus one-sided.
Negotiation Positions
Common industry positions for each flagged clause to help you negotiate confidently.
Your document is displayed alongside the analysis with relevant sections highlighted. You can re-visit any past analysis from the "Recently Uploaded" sidebar.
Tips for best results
- Use high-quality PDFs with selectable text — scanned image PDFs may produce lower accuracy.
- If your NDA is in an older
.docformat, save it as.docxor.pdffirst. - Ensure your NDA is in English — multi-language support is coming soon.
- You can manage and permanently delete your stored documents anytime from the Profile page.
